Ramona Ruth (Hargus) Snell was born April 2, 1941 to Lee V and Eunice Elizabeth (Richardson) Hargus at Buffalo, Oklahoma.  Ramona graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1959 on May 12 as well as marrying her high school sweetheart Virgil Lee Snell on that same day.  The couple stated the family was already dressed up so why not take advantage.  Ramona spent her younger years working behind the soda fountain at Brandstetters Drug Store. She also worked part time with the selective service and was a census worker.  Ramona and Lee added two daughters to their family Monica Lee and Amber Ann. After their children were school age the family left Buffalo, Oklahoma, for Ashland, Kansas where they have lived ever since.  Ramona worked as a bookkeeper for Home Lumber and Supply Company and later was the Clark County Extension Council Secretary.  Ramona worked a short time as a teller at Citizens State Bank and then was employed as the assistant Clerk of the District Court.  Ramona later became the Clerk of the District Court of Clark County and worked there until she retired.  Ramona continued to stay busy after retirement working on the Clark County Election Board and helping part time at Wilkinson Funeral Service.  Ramona was a member of the First Christian Church, First Christian Church Women’s Council and was a very big part of the Christian Church Summer Camps helping with registration and in the kitchen.  A big part of Ramona’s life was her grandchildren she was a lifetime Ashland High School booster attending as many of her grandchildren events as she could.  Ramona enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds in her backyard and taking care of her two inside cats Muffin and Mittens.  Ramona was preceded in death by parents, Lee and Eunice Hargus; husband, Lee Snell of over 55 years; grandson, Tyson Nelson.  Ramona left her earthly home on August 15, 2018 at the age of 77 years old, at the Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.  Ramona leaves as her survivors daughters Monica and husband Mike Meininger, Amber Woodruff and friend Doug Graff of Ashland, Kansas, eight grandchildren, Tony and wife Leann Krier of Fowler, Kansas, Chandra and husband Matt Walter of Hays, Kansas, Caleb and wife Jamie Nelson of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Brady and wife Emily Nelson of Denver, Colorado, Kirk Woodruff and fiancée Tess Robben of Ashland, Kansas, Morgan and husband Lewis Nighswonger of Alva, Oklahoma, Blake Woodruff and fiancée Shelby Smith of Alva, Oklahoma, Grant Meininger, of Wichita, Kansas.  Eight Great Grandchildren Colter and Channing Nelson, Brynlee Walter, Tyson, Noah, Grady, and Gavin Krier, and Sawyer Woodruff.  Many other relatives and numerous friends.
