Peggy Snodgrass

Peggy Lee Snodgrass, 62, of Ashland, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, because of a car accident. Peggy was born to William Luther and Rosa Lee (Cusick) McGee on June 16, 1954 in Caney, Kansas. Peggy went to High School in Minneola, Kansas. She married Dennis Snodgrass on July 1, 1972, in Bucklin, Kansas, they made their home in Ashland, Kansas, where they raised their two children Cody & Missy. After the children were raised Peggy took a correspondence course in Lock Smith and did her training in Dodge City, Kansas. In 2001 she opened her business Peg’s Lock Shop in Ashland, working all over the area making many friends. She was treasurer of the Southwest Kansas Locksmith Association. Peggy loved riding horses, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Peggy was a loving mother to many cats and dogs through the years. She was also a member of the First Christian Church in Protection, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father William McGee.  Peggy is survived by her husband Dennis of the home her mother Rosa Lee of Minneola, Kansas two children, Melissa Walker and husband Casey of Mapleton, Illinois, and son Cody Snodgrass and wife Jen of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her brother Tony McGee and wife Elaine of Augusta, Kansas and sister Linda Dresser and husband Troy of Knoxville, Tennessee; her three grandchildren, Dukatii Snodgrass, Mason Snodgrass and Camden Walker. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family and all who knew her.
