Pearl Wilkerson

Pearl Naomia (Dennard) Wilkerson was born July 10, 1929 in Sugden, Oklahoma to Alvin Louis Dennard and Elisabeth Pearl (Bates) Dennard. Pearl attended and graduated high school from Tuttle, Oklahoma, Pearl spent most of her adult life in Buffalo, Oklahoma. Pearls parents pastored various churches moving to many communities. Pearl met and married her husband John Edwin Wilkerson in 1948 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, to this union three children were born Elizabeth, Edwin, and Mary. Pearl loved plants, reading, and crocheting. Pearl was a homemaker and nurse's aide. Everyone knew if they got around Pearl they would get a hug from her or she always wanted hugs from everyone. Pearl supported her husband John in his ministry of the Church of the Nazarene and his lifelong vocation of Pharmacy, helping John with his continuing education to further his business. Later in their lives she supported him with his Buffalo EMS and with John becoming an EMT. They were charted members of the Buffalo Church in 1950, and he was also charted member of the Buffalo EMS. Pearl loved her kids, grandkids, step grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids, they were all very special to her. 

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilkerson, her parents, Alvin and Elisabeth Dennard, two sisters, Johnnie Dennard and Mary Ann Dennard, brother, Louis Dennard Jr. and one great grandson Dade Wilkerson. Pearl went to be with her heavenly father on August 13, 2024 at the Western Skilled Facility, Buffalo, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years, 1 month, 3 days. 

 Pearl is survived by her children Elizabeth Rogers and husband Ronny, Edwin Wilkerson and wife LaDonna, Mary Rolf and husband Jackie. 7 grandchildren, Dan Rogers and wife Colleena, Ronna Trosper and husband Tony, Abe Wilkerson and wife Krista, Zac Wilkerson and wife Courtney, Caleb Wilkerson and wife Darcy, Billy Phelps, Charlie Phelps and wife Chresta, Jeff Rolf and Cherl Rolf, Great Grandchildren Kooper Wilkerson, Karson Wilkerson, Zoe Evans, Ezekiel and Zara Wilkerson, Emi and Owen Wilkerson, Kyra Ricketts, Koby McCubbin, Mia Lundberg, Morgan Rogers, Blaise Rogers, James Phelps, Sebastion Phelps, Mollie Phelps. 7 step grandkids, 3 great-great grandkids. Pearl's hugs will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

the family has suggested memorial to the Willow Creek Cemetery for mowing/maintenance, or to the Wounded Warrior's.
