Neva Mitchell

Neva Jeannette (Marshall) Mitchell was born in Toppenish , Washington , on November 20, 1939 to Zoma

( Clark ) Marshall & Lee John Marshall. The family moved to Buffalo , Oklahoma , where they made their home.

Jeannette grew up in the buffalo community and attended the Buffalo Grade school and High School. Neva

Jeannette married Jess Mitchell on October 12, 1957 and to this union there were four children. Neva worked at

the Harper’s Café as a waitress for several years. Then the family moved to Hennessey , Oklahoma , there Neva

worked as a secretary in the Oil Field offices. Neva has been living in Liberal, Kansas near her sister for the

past 14 years. Neva Jeannette Mitchell departed this life on June 9, 2010 in her home in Liberal, Kansas after

battle poor health. She was preceded in the death by her parents, 3 brothers Olen Marshall, Vern Marshall,

Jackie Marshall; 2 sisters Geraldine Staus; and Hazel Bates. Neva is survived by her sons Kyle Mitchell of

Hennessey, Ok. Jerry Ashcraft of Hennessey, Ok; daughters Teresa Riggs of Sheridan , Ark. and Sherri

Mitchell of Hennessey, Ok; two brothers Ronnie Marshall of Ohio and Warren Marshall of Oregon ; and two

Sisters Bonnie Cummins of Liberal, Ks. Daisy Pitchforth of Texas ; 12 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren,

and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday June 12, 2010 in the High Point Cemetery Buffalo, Ok. under the direction of Wilkinson Funeral Service, Buffalo , Ok
