Mary Lee Secrest was born August 15, 1933 to Elmo Louis and Ila (Sober) Lewis in Woodward, Oklahoma.  Mary Lee attended Woodward Public School.  Mary Lee married Bill Secrest on October 14, 1950.  Mary Lee and Bill lived in Watonga, Oklahoma and then later moved to Buffalo, Oklahoma.  Mary Lee and Bill were blessed with two children Darren and Tara. Bill and Mary Lee loved country western music and would go listen to her brother Billy Joe play in with different bands.  Mary Lee walked like the wind, she could out walk her family and friends.  Mary Lee was a hard worker, she worked as a Switchboard Operator for the Telephone Company, Bookkeeper for L & W Oilfield Services (Walt and Reta Young), Cashier for Loves Country Store, and Cook for the Buffalo Grade Schools. Mary Lee attended the First Baptist Church. Mary Lee belonged to the Red Hats Ladies, Mary Lee enjoyed playing cards with the ladies on Monday at the Senior Citizen Center, reading a good book, Mary Lee and her friend Esther loved watching the Oklahoma City Thunder play basketball games, you didn’t call during the game or if they lost a game.  Mary Lee loved her children and her nieces and nephew spending several summers together.  Mary Lee loved being with children, Greg and his family were a great influence, she enjoyed spending time with Tra, J, and family. At family gathering she would bring her delicious chocolate sheet cake.   Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Secrest; her brother, Billy Lewis; father-in-law, Claud Secrest; mother-in-law, Ruby Secrest; sister-in-law, Anna Lou Snider. Mary Lee left her earthly home on August 21, 2014, in Woodward, Oklahoma.  Mary Lee leaves as her survivors son, Darren and companion Ashley;  daughter, Tara and husband Jay Doughty; sister, Arlene Lyon; Grandchildren, Braden Buss, Kevin Secrest, Nicole Hunt, Jayson Doughty, Caitlin Doughty; Great Grandchildren, Bear Secrest, Embry Prewitt, Dessimber Hunt; relatives and many friends.
