Marjorie Thielen

Marjorie Thielen was born November 23, 1925 to Paul Francis and Celia (Gibson) Thielen, on the family farm east of Ashland, Kansas.  Marjorie attended the Clark County Rural Schools.  Marjorie cleaned houses, windows, and would sit and take care of people, when needed.  Marjorie worked at the Hardesty House for a while and did ironing for many people around the community.  Marjorie loved to crochet and piece quilts together.  Marjorie loved piecing together quilts and quilting them with her mother every winter.  Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Paul Francis and Celia (Gibson) Thielen; sister Emma Peck and husband Raymond; brothers Mark and wife Millie Thielen, Theodore Thielen, Leo and wife Norman Jean Thielen; brother-in-law Bob Tucker.  Marjorie left her earthly home on Friday, September 25, 2015.  She will be missed by all who loved her.  Rest in peace dear sweet lady.  Marjorie leaves as her survivors; sister Mary Tucker of Maryland; brother Francis Thielen of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.

Family has suggested memorial to the Saint Joseph Church and Ashland Health Center.
