It is with a broken heart that we say goodbye to our sister and aunt, Kathy Thomas.
Kathryn Elaine Thomas, the youngest daughter of Alfred S. Thomas, Jr. and Louise Voss Thomas Shelit Reed was born on January 9, 1959 at Shattuck, OK and passed from this life on January 2, 2022 at her home in Buffalo, Oklahoma. Kathy graduated from Meade High School, Meade, KS in 1978. She was a CNA and worked at various nursing homes in Oklahoma and Kansas. Even though she had no children of her own, she helped raise several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Floyd Shelit, and stepfather Philip Reed; sisters Mary Ann Thomas and Nancy Lee Thomas Cook. She is survived by sisters Sherelyn Thomas-Roberson of Mount Vernon, TX and Becky Rakes of Wichita, KS and her brother Mike Shelit of Pine Bluffs, WY. Nieces Beverly Mings of Buffalo, OK, Randi Jo (Joe) Booth of Wilmore, Ks, Susie (Chris) James of Mount Vernon, TX, Jacque Roberson of McKinney, TX, Kayla Stephens of Victoria, KS, Shianne (Zack) Fornstrom, Sierra Shelit and Jaden Shelit all of Pine Bluffs, WY.
