John Louis Marker the son of Ora and Naomi (Hunt) Marker was born on September 18, 1935 at Madison, Oklahoma. John grew up in and around Laverne Oklahoma, then graduated from the Laverne High School with the class of 1952. John joined the United States Navy in 1956, where he served his country for 6 years. During his service John served aboard the USS Lexington, and was honorable discharged in 1962. After he returned home he worked at the farm with his family, until the early 1970’s he began working in the oil patch for several years before he retired. John was a hard worker that like to stay busy, so he started raising horses for several years then later took interest in raising boar goats. John & Willie started the company Sand and Sage boar goat farm raising and breeding show goats. John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joanna Love and his daughter Robin Perkins. John left this life July 1 2016 at this home in Rosston at the age of 80. John is survived by his siblings: Marie Allen, Fred Marker, Jim Marker, Bill Marker and Daisy Maphet. John Children Sheila Gresham, John (Rascal) Marker, Rock Marker, Dusty Yodar and his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
A family gathering will set at a later date to celebrate John Marker’s life.
