" Jo" Harlene Sawyer

Harlene Joan (pronounced Jo Ann) Allison Sawyer

Born December 29, 1939 at the family home in Curtis, Oklahoma to Louis and Dorothy Dodge Allison

Walked into Heaven October 15, 2020 after a lengthy illness.  Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law Pat McLaughlin

and her nephew Doug Weder.

“Jo” is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim of the home,  and her daughters Teresa and husband Terry Arnold of Ashland, Kansas;  Sheryl and husband Jeff Golden of Ashland, Kansas, and Rebecca and husband Brent Merkle of Meade, Kansas.

Jo’s legacy is also carried on by six grandchildren:  Rebecca Arnold Johnson and husband Garret of Cherokee, Ok; Jenny Arnold Hink and husband Dusty of Liberal, KS;  Tyler Cramer and wife Hope of Cheney, KS; Kelly Cramer of Rowe, NM; Zane Golden and wife Tessa of Ashland, KS; and Grace Golden Borth and husband Nick of Meade, KS.

Great grandchildren who will miss Grandma Jo, are Harley Smart, Maggie Smart and Woodrow Johnson of Cherokee, OK.  Gus Hink of Liberal, KS and Ryat Cramer of Cheney KS.

Jo will also be missed by her 7 siblings:  Louis Allison and wife Shirley of Woodward, OK; Barbara Merwin of West Orange, NJ; Bill Allison and wife Jana of Woodward, OK; Marita Weder and husband John of Buffalo, OK:  Beverly Beuke and husband Larry of Woodward, OK;  Vura Moser and husband Bill of Sharon-Mutal, OK; and Sue McLaughlin of Woodward, OK.

Jo will be missed by a large extended family and a host of friends.
