Jay Weisner

Jay Darwin Weisner of Moore, Oklahoma went to his heavenly home, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, after a long illness.  Jay was born July 26, 1959 in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Wayman and Marion (Seeger) Weisner.  After graduation from Buffalo High School with the class of 1977,  Jay married Lisa Weder on September 1980, to this union a daughter, Andrea was born.  Jay had various jobs such as farming, raising and riding horses, and his last job was working in the oilfield for Bill Hodges in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for several years until his health forced him to retire.  Through his busy life, Jay always made time to read his Bible and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior early on.  Jay will be remembered for texting passages particularly Psalms, to his nieces and siblings.  Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Wayman and Marion Weisner; brother, Larry Weisner; great nephew, Weston.  Jay is survived by his daughter Andrea Girk; grandson Kaisyn of Buffalo, Oklahoma; brother Earl Weisner and wife Cathy of Duncan, Oklahoma, sisters Margo VanDorn and husband Roger of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Christine Miller and husband Joe of Fairview, Oklahoma, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Lung Association in care of Wilkinson Funeral Service.
