Glen N. Pearson was born June 8, 1928 and was the first of six children born to Howard and Edna (Gardner) Pearson. Glen grew up on the family farm west of Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1946. Near that time Glen joined the United States Army, completed flight school and became a helicopter pilot. Glen and Harriet (Howell) were married November 8, 1952 in Clayton, New Mexico. They were married for 62 years. Glen served as a pilot at the end of World War II and in the Korean War. Glen became a commercial helicopter pilot in the private sector. Glen and Harriet were blessed with three children: Glynis, Leslie, and Joe. The family lived in Germany, Oklahoma, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas where Glen pursued helicopter aviation with Boeing, Beech, Boise Cascade, and others. In 1970 the family moved to Buffalo where Glen continued the family farming and ranching operation alongside his son, Joe Pearson. Glen spent many years as a rural mail carrier, driving all over the area. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Harriet; three sisters, Janet Likens, Anna Lee Lowry, Mary Beth Boyd; and infant brother Harold. Glen left his earthly home on March 14, 2019 at the age of 90 years old. Glen is survived by his three children, Glynis (Rocky) Meyer, Leslie Crawford, and Joe (Kathy) Pearson; brother, Larry Pearson; sister-in-law, Judy English; and nephews, Richard English and Justin English. Papa Glen has six granddaughters, Mandy (Cary) Glasse, Carlie (Philip) Gill, Chesney (Clint) Soderstrom, Katie Crawford, Kaitlin Pearson, and Bailee Pearson; ten great grandchildren Quentin, Brooks, Annie, Henry, Isabella, Max, Hattie, Zeke, Crawford, and Cashel; other family members and friends.
