Bruce Keith Gearhart was born to Bruce Emerson and Helen Virginia Hawn, on March 5, 1939 at Wichita, Kansas. Bruce graduated high school form Seattle, Washington, and stayed in Longview, Washington, before being drafted into the United State Army in 1958 station in California and was Honorable Discharge on March 31, 1965. Bruce made a short move to Alaska and back to the Washington – Idaho area where he spent 20 years working in the logging business. He also worked some time as cook on a fishing boat. Bruce moved to the Kansas area operating a Bruce Gearhart escort over size transport service equipment on the highways. While living in Englewood, Kansas he worked at the United State Post Office and served as Mayor of Englewood. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Jennie Lines. Bruce left his earthly home on September 17, 2023 at his home with very close friends by his bedside. He leaves as his survivors two sisters Gayle Smith & Vicki Marsh, his friends Mary and Marvin O’Dell and Lloyd O’Dell other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will be gathering for a Graveside service inurnment on Thursday October 5, 2023 at 10:00am at the Englewood Cemetery, Englewood, Kansas.
