Robert Jerome Baggs was born on May 25, 1943 in Laverne, OK and passed away on September 26, 2024 in his home near May, Oklahoma.
Bob grew up on the family farm near May working hard and maintaining a strong work ethic his entire life. After graduating from Fort Supply High School in 1961, Bob joined the Army, served his country, and was honorably discharged. After his army service, Bob worked for a time as a welder on shrimp boats in Galveston, TX. From there he went to Okmulgee Tech school and graduated as a certified Diesel Mechanic and later worked for Koch Industries in Woodward. He retired after 10 years and started working harder on his own farm east of May where he had cattle, wheat, and grass for bailing hay and had many cars, trucks and farm implements that he enjoyed dealing with and working on. Bob was always right there to help family and his many friends with whatever he could. When you were with Bob, you were always laughing, as he had a great sense of humor!
Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Goldie Baggs, his sister Dorthea, his brother Jerry, and his brother Wade. He is survived by his brother Winston Baggs of Las Vegas NV; sister-in-law Carlotta Baggs of Laverne, OK; sister-in-law Judy Baggs of Cody, WY; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Brother Bob, Uncle Bob and friend Bob was much loved and will be missed.
