Arvella Kirkhart

Arvella Mae McNable Kirkhart was born March 19, 1928, in Wellington, Kansas to Samuel Ross McNable and Goldie Pearl (Brown) McNable. When Arvella was 2-week-old her family moved to Gate, Oklahoma, where she spent her entire life in and around the Gate community. Arvella graduated from Gate High School in 1946 the next day after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Gil Kirkhart and they were happily married for 61 years lacking a few weeks. They spent time working together side by side no matter what building fence and driving steel post. They were blessed with two sons Tommy and Jimmie. One of life’s greatest delights was when they were baptized as a family in the Gate Methodist Church. Arvella loved the outdoors, working in her yard often. She enjoyed basketball and was an avid player. She belonged to a bowling league for many years and enjoyed playing cards with her card club. Arvella was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend; Gil Kirkhart, her mother and father; Ross and Goldie McNaleb, brother; Elbert Roy McNaleb, sister; Edna Rose, daughter-in-law; Debye Kirkhart, daughter in law, Mary Lynn Kirkhart, son Jimmie Roy Kirkhart. Arvella Mae ( McNable ) Kirkhart left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2024. 

Arvella is survived by son; Tom Kirkhart of Great Bend, Kansas, daughter in law; Jan Kirkhart of Claude, Texas, grandchildren; Takura (Jason) Price of Salina, Kansas, LeDesha (Todd) Clark of Great Bend, Kansas, Beckie (David) Powell of Laverne, Oklahoma, Shane (Jennifer) Kirkhart of Forgan, Oklahoma, Jimmie Sue (Justin) Seacat of Winfield, Kansas, step grandchildren; Scott (Pam) Miller of Bunnell, Florida, Brady (Roni) Miller of Groom, Texas, Jody (Cory) Pool of Rye, Colorado, 34 great grandchildren, numerous other family and friend’s. Arvella will be missed by all for her precious life here on earth.
